Quality improvement strategies improve pediatric neurology inpatient discharges before noon - PMC
This study looked at ways to help children in the hospital for neurological problems get discharged earlier in the day, specifically before noon. Researchers tried new methods like checking MRI results and video EEGs sooner, and holding morning meetings to plan discharges. They found that these changes helped more children go home before noon, improving the discharge rate from about 40% to over 60%. Getting patients home earlier is good because it can free up hospital beds and make the hospital run more smoothly. This shows that careful planning and teamwork among doctors, nurses, and families can make a big difference in how quickly children can leave the hospital.

Medication prescribing checklists and the impact on patient safety: A scoping review - PMC
Medication checklists are helpful tools that can make sure doctors prescribe medicines safely and correctly. These checklists often include things like checking for correct dosages, making sure medicines don't interact badly with each other, and following medical guidelines. While most studies show these checklists work well to improve patient safety, some found they didn't help or even made things worse. It's important that these checklists are easy to use and fit into a doctor's daily work so they can be as effective as possible.
